Subject: Back To The Future (1985) Observers: John Pavlich, Justin Krey, Allen Coe Record Date: June 06, 2011, 02:48 AM Plot Summary: A Teen Slacker from 1985 travels back in time to 1955, in an attempt to save his best friend's life and ensure that his own parents meet and fall in love, so that he will eventually be born. Note: In the first ever "On Location" recording of the podcast (meaning, somewhere other than my apartment), my long-time friends and I revisit this beloved classic. This is also the first recording to utilize the podcast's new Facebook Group, wherein we incorporate comments from listeners and read them on the show. This is the podcast's 5th Anniversary! We hope you join us for another five years! Remember to listen for the preemptive countdown before starting the film on your DVD. |

Subject: Zombieland (2009) Observers: John Pavlich, Tysto Record Date: May 20, 2011, 05:21 PM Plot Summary: An eccentric group of travellers search for friendship, love, family and Twinkies in a desolate America, overrun by Zombies. Note: Just as a disclaimer, I spend arguably too much time complaining about someone else's commentary for this film. Despite that, Tysto does a good job bringing me back on point and keeping the discussion more analytical and relevant to the film in question. We chat about character motivation, survival horror and the delicate balance between funny and scary. I also mistakenly peg an Actor in the film as Canadian. I have made note of this in the recording. Remember to listen for the preemptive countdown before starting the film on your DVD. |

Subject: I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997) Observers: John Pavlich, Hayley White Record Date: May 03, 2011, 08:13 AM Plot Summary: During their last 4th of July shindig together, four friends accidentally hit someone with their car. Fearing the end of their bright futures, they all make a pact to dump the body and keep this terrible night to themselves. Exactly a year later, a mysterious stranger is sending them threatening letters and stalking them, bent on some twisted form of justice. Note: While I'm based in the US, Hayley resides in Australia, meaning that despite our best efforts, we occasionally run into some sync problems in the recording. Hayley's DVD is a different region and format, which results in a slightly faster playback. While there are a few instances where Hayley gets ahead of me in the film, they are few and far between and we mostly manage to save face. Remember to listen for the preemptive countdown before starting the film on your DVD. |
